A turnaround is planned to the hour. The spares are not.
GlobeRanger keeps a true record of turnaround spares, tools, and safety equipment across the site, including the condition each is in. It keeps working even where there is no network.
The plan assumes the part is where the system says.
A refinery holds assets that are only needed occasionally, and then urgently:
- Turnaround spares held for years and drawn in a single week
- Certified tools that have to be traceable to their last calibration
- Safety, rescue and gas detection equipment that must be present and in date
A turnaround is scheduled to the hour on the assumption that every item is where the record says. When one is not, the schedule does not shift by an hour but by a shift, and the contractors on site are paid for the wait.
GlobeRanger reads the tags on that stock and maintains a record of where each item is and what condition it is in. A tool that has not been returned, or a certificate nearing its expiry date, raises an exception before the work starts.
It runs at the edge, so tracking continues in stores, units and zones without network coverage, and integrates with the systems you already use.

Defence
There is no network inside an ammunition bunker.
A German defence manufacturer stores ammunition and explosives in former bunkers, hazard classes 1.1 to 1.4. Each bunker has its own installation. Stock is confirmed by scanning, with no connection to the outside and without anyone counting by hand.
The customer has asked not to be named.
